Okay, so Summer Card Camp 2 is over and I made one card...geesh! I need more play time!! I am taking another class - Technique Toolbox - with Claudine Hellmuth at Big Picture Classes. It's a fun class...lots of great techniques! I was inspired by a project created by Mau Saha and wanted to use my favorite picture from our cruise to Alaska a couple of years ago. The photo is of the Disney Wonder taken in Skagway, Alaska. It's an 8" X 8" canvas and I used Tim Holtz stamps, Claudine's Sticky Back Canvas for the sentiment and the gesso transfer technique. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you're having a creative summer!

Much-Needed Crafty Time...
It has been way too long since I've had any time in my craft room. I think my supplies thought I abandoned them (and I felt that way, too)! But...I took today to just play and create and got caught up with my Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2013.
Here is May's tag...
I used the new rub-ons, like Tim did, but I also added some gold embossing paste over a stencil for the main focal point.
And June's tag...
I have been putting my tags into a 6-slot tray - the first of which is now complete!
Hopefully, I'll be back soon. I am taking several online classes this summer, so I hope to have plenty of reason to create some new cards and things...now if I can just find the time!
Happy Stamping!!

Happy Birthday, Mr. Harley...
A friend of mine, Jenn Shurkus, has a wonderful cat named Mr. Harley and he celebrated his 5th birthday this week, so I made him a card to help celebrate. Mr. H....may your year be filled with tuna and catnip!!
April Tag & Happy Winner...
I was so excited when Tim revealed his April tag! First, he was using his new Distress Paints and the new Metallic Distress Paints...very cool techniques! And, because I was lucky to be chosen as one of the March winners!
Here are the goodies that Mario sent right away...
I am so grateful for the wonderful new things that came my way! Thank you Tim & Mario!! I love the new rub-ons and those enamel tags! And that locket...there's an idea in my head for that one, too! Now I just need work to slow down a bit so I can have some play time. Well, I don't think that's in the cards for a while, but I did take time today to create my April tag. I just love the Patina look that is created so easily with the new Distress Paints.
I had another idea for this tag, but I couldn't resist using the dragonfly with those wings. Hopefully I'll have a chance to share that other idea soon. Have a happy Spring...I hope it arrives in the Northeast soon! And happy creating!! See you soon...

March Tag...
Tim's tag for March was absolutely precious...
I created my version for my tray...and a few more to frame and give as Easter gifts...
Fun with Flowers...
Just a few more samples using the Tim Holtz's Tattered Florals die...
The red and light blue flowers were stamped with Archival Ink, then saturated with water, crumpled and allowed to air dry. The purple flower was done the same way, then dipped in UTEE. The yellow flower was cut from card stock and the edges were inked with Distress Ink. And finally, the red/orange stick pin flower was made with grungepaper covered with music paper, inked with Distress Inks and covered with Rock Candy Stickles for a little shimmer.

Tattered Florals Journal Page...
The awesome and lovely Miss Dyan Reaveley makes art journaling look so very easy...*sigh*...I think I need a lot more practice! I had a lovely idea spinning around in my head to use the tattered florals die as a mask to create a cool journal page (sorry...I meant to take more photos of the progress). My colors didn't quite blend as well as Dyan's. I'm thinking I needed more water....and talent! Well...hopefully I can try again another time...but for now, here's the mess I made...trust me, I sprayed EVERYWHERE! :-)

Tattered Florals Challenge...
Tim Holtz has issued a challenge...the Tattered Floral Challenge! I have so many ideas I want to try...I love that Tim did this! So...all I need is some free time to play and create...yep, that's all I need. I had a short time earlier today, so I created this card using the die as a stamp. Hopefully, I'll have more to share soon! Join me...take the challenge!!

I heart you...
Okay...so another class has come and gone. Well, at least I got one card made...on day 1. *sigh* Too much work...too little (like zero) fun, creative time. I changed that today...a lazy Sunday at home...spent doing laundry, with some crafty time for me...YAY! I decided to get my February tag done, so here you go...I Heart You...until next time!

Unfortunately, I was traveling for work and didn't have a chance to play along until today. I wanted to create some cards to thank three fabulous board members who traveled to the conference with me and this is what I did for them...

Happy Birthday, Tim!
It's January 7th and that means a special wish goes out to Tim Holtz...
Tim - I hope your day is as special as you are and I hope the year ahead brings you great joy, good health and creative journeys!
It's also a new year, which means time for a new series of tags! Here's Tim's January tag...
...and here's my version...
Two years ago, I created my 12 Tags of Christmas in a 12-slot tray...
I proudly display it all throughout the Christmas season, so I thought I'd put this year's tags into two 4x6 trays from 7 Gypsies. I can't wait to see how this project progresses!
Have a happy and crafty 2013!!
